Avid cyclist fatally struck in McAllen

McALLEN — A woman known for her affinity for bicycling was killed Monday while out on a morning ride.
Melissa Robles, 32, was struck by a car in the 1600 block of South Second Street at approximately 5 a.m., McAllen police spokesman Lt. Joel Morales said. Robles, a Pharr resident, was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
She was a member of 5AM Wakeup Ride, a group of cyclists who ride together before work. …
Dallas non-profit creates bike share docks for neighborhoods

A non-profit is trying to find a solution to the clutter often associated with the dockless bike share system in Dallas.
Sitting outside Better Block’s Bishop Arts office is a unique structure that holds bikes. The group constructed a prototype of what it calls a mobility parklet. Complete with seating and spots for about nine bikes, it could be placed all around Dallas in parking spots. …

Two people were sent to the hospital after a bicycle and vehicle crashed.
Friends and family are mourning the death of a beloved Austin cyclist and writer.
Andrew Tilin, 52, died Saturday, after a driver hit him while he was changing a flat tire on his bike.
The crash happened about 9:14 a.m. near Marshall Ford Road and North FM 620, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. …
