44 Degrees With Rain Indoor Bike Workout
No way to ride outside today: 44 degrees and rain. So the Cycleops Fluid Trainer was back in service today. My wife and I went out for breakfast and when we got back the workout began at 1:54 pm, later than the usual morning time. I watched a cyclocross race from Belgium early this morning, highlights of the Tour of Dubai and caught the finish of the Colombia Oro y Paz. Busy time for bike races.
Intervals were off the list today. After warming up for 4 miles I pedaled in a close range of rpm 90 to 95 in the 36 x 15 gear combination. The legs complained so I stopped for a few seconds around the 5 mile point which helped for a while. At first I was going to stop once I rode 10 miles but I pushed on to 11.24 miles.
February is not being very kind to my biking with cold and wet weather. Maybe it will dry out some on Thursday and the temperature might get to 60. No outside riding.
Usually I ride the Humble Lions Club Bike Rally this Saturday but the weather looks wet plus registering the day of the ride is $50, too rich for me. I can save $5 if I register on Friday. I will see what the weather looks like then.
