GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – The man charged with a hit-and-run of a 19 year old Georgetown cyclist in 2017 pleaded guilty Wednesday in Williamson County court.
Aaron Richard Davidson provided a written statement to APD on Jan. 26, 2017, stating he had veered into oncoming traffic and struck an object. Witnesses told police they had heard a “large boom sound” and saw a bicycle wheel fly in the air. …
Driver sought after cyclist struck on Eastex Freeway feeder road

HOUSTON – Houston police said they are searching for a driver who didn’t stop to render aid after hitting a bicyclist on Dec. 22 around 4:50 a.m.
Police said the victim was found unconscious underneath an exit ramp in the 10000 block of the Eastex Freeway feeder road.
The victim had been knocked off a bicycle and broke multiple bones, had internal bleeding and is listed in critical condition, police said. …

Construction of Arlington’s portion of the hike and bike trail linking Dallas to Fort Worth along the Trinity River will soon be under way.
The $1.3 million, half-mile trail connection, expected to be complete by mid-September, will fill in one of the gaps in what will eventually become a 60-mile-long trail system along the Trinity River between Dallas and Fort Worth.
