November Biking Summary and First December Bike Ride
Two days off the bike but today I was back on biking the “Atascocita – Walden – Huffman” route for a total of 34 miles to start December. The weather was a little chilly (for me anyway) with 70 degrees at the 11:55 AM start. The forecast was for 75 degrees but when I finished at 2:27 PM it was up to 74. Being a temperature wimp I wore a long sleeve thermal jersey under a short sleeve one and bike shorts. At first I was chilled but by four miles into the ride I started to warm up and was comfortable the rest of the ride. I could tell when I biked in the shade though.
Now that it December Christmas decorations are coming out of hiding. In Bear Branch Village of Kingwood I took this photo.
No snow but they have the Christmas spirit. In Atascocita a few years ago there was a house with about every Christmas cutout you could imagine in the front yard. I didn’t know there was so many.
Today’s ride went well and no surprises. I missed getting stopped by the train on Old Atascocita Road by about 3 minutes and later at the FM 2100 crossing the crossing arms came down and I stopped but the train was parked west of the crossing and after a minute or two the arms went up and traffic moved across the tracks.
SportTracks Ride Summary
Now that November is over this is a recap of my bike rides. My goal was 360 miles and I exceeded that by 118.8 miles.
