I rode from Richmond & South Eldridge to Tanner & Brittmoore beginning 4:00 pm in about 2 hours and 10 minutes, which included a 15-20 minute detour to check on Beltway 8 and Boheme.
Final route was east on Briar Forest to Memorial, then west on Memorial to Plantation Road, which runs north to Memorial City. The Briar Forest bridge over BB is dry as are the approaches. Briar Forest was completely choked with motor vehicles from BW8 to Memorial. There were open patches westbound on Memorial but I still moved faster than mv traffic. I used a combination of bike lane, sidewalk and lane splitting, depending on the situation. I did not have a functioning horn and it really would have come in handy. I had to move slowly and deliberately; there were a lot of sudden unexpected vehicle movements. Red lights meant …
