Nine years ago, a Wichita Falls man started a bike ride to raise money for a charity that was there for him during some very difficult times in life.
Dail Neely started the 90 for Dad bike ride in memory of his father who passed away at Hospice of Wichita Falls back in 2008.
Neely said after his dad retired he would always help him along the way while he rode, so he felt like this was the perfect way to help hospice in his memory.
Hospice of Wichita Falls took care of both of Dail Neely’s parents.

City of Denton receives $1.5 million award for bicycle and pedestrian projects

The City of Denton was awarded funds in mid-June from TxDOT through the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) for three pedestrian and bicycle projects, which will begin construction next summer.
The award will pay for $1.5 million of the projects’ cost, or 80 percent. The projects’ total cost is estimated to be around $1.9 million.
