A Few Leisurely Starter Rides to Enjoy this Amazingly Bikeable City
By San Antonio Current Staff | www.sacurrent.com
All that buzz about urban redevelopment, the Decade of Downtown and reviving San Antonio’s urban core usually skips over a key selling point: The area is ridiculously bikeable. Biking is (and hopefully, will remain) the hands-down best way to move in and around San Antonio, so expect more of us who live, work or play down here to travel to and from work, run errands, or head out at night on two feet-powered wheels. While navigating the traffic …

Tuesday February 21, 2017, 50 miles (80 km) – Total so far: 2,039 miles (3,281 km)
Shortly after I woke up I heard a car door near my campsite under the bridge. This was followed by footsteps and a surprised laugh as my tent was spotted. Some workers had arrived and were surprised to see me, but had no problem with my being there. They were friendly and I chatted with one of them, Javier, for a while.
After breaking camp I set about repairing the puncture from last night. I found the hole on the inner tube and patched it, but …

The Army Corps of Engineers is strengthening the dam and moving the current water gate and this looks to have effected the USGS sensors in the dam. From September through November 2016 the USGS wasn’t even providing text updates. The …
