WACO, Texas (KWTX) Volunteers from all over the Waco area woke up early Saturday morning to come help clean up the Brazos.
Keep Waco Beautiful partnered with Don’t Mess With Texas, Keep Texas Beautiful, and Bicycle World to host the “Trash and Treasure Hunt” quarterly clean-up to bring people together to clean up the river and surrounding area.

The South Canterbury Sportsperson of the Year award turned 50 this year. Over the past five decades there have been 35 different winners from 20 different sports. In 1998 Waimate youngster Heath Blackgrove scooped the pool taking out both the senior and junior awards.
It was no real surprise when the statistics were laid bare that Heath Blackgrove took out the top South Canterbury Sports Award.
That year he won four New Zealand junior under-19 national titles in the road race, time trial, points race and as part of the team pursuit. …

Prayer Ride? Just a short prayer – a time we can unite in prayer for our nation & recent trajadies.
I will make the routes easy as possible since it is Sunday.
Beginners & non-members welcome. The short route is a simple out-n-back by Lake Benbrook.
The Plan: 6:30am sign in and get cue sheet. 7:00am I will say the prayer (unless someone else wants to); 7:05 Ride starts.
Distance options: 17, 45, or 63 miles.
