Luba: everything happens for the best
Wednesday April 13, 2016, 39 miles (63 km) – Total so far: 1,751 miles (2,817 km)
Had to go off the ACA route today, because lodging in Burton listed by the ACA went out of business. So we decided to ride to Brenham for the overnight. We hoped to have lunch in Burton, though, and also visit their Cotton Gin Museum. Well, all the food places along with the museum were closed… Today is Wednesday – shouldn’t we have known nothing would be open? Now we were glad that their hotel was closed too and we, at least, knew about it in advance! There were some people setting up for a party next to the museum that told us about the …

My Cat2 40-44 mountain bike race video from the 2016 Pace Bend Mountain Bike Race held at Pace Bend Park in Austin Texas.
The 5th race of the Texas state 2016 series.
Pace Bend is my home course. I know this one well and the course suits my typically strong technical riding style. As I will be moving up to Cat1 next year, this is likely to be my best opportunity for a race win for a very, very long time (possible ever again). …

Thoughts And Ponderings- April 2016
by Johnny Guzman bicyclepointofview.blogspot.com
Man, I haven’t written a blog post in a while…
Today is the first day in weeks that I actually have a little bit of downtime to collect my thoughts and put something down in print. There is a lot of things that I am currently planning for ( selling my rental home, planing vacations, repairing bicycles as a business, etc., etc). I have basically had to decide where to place my time best. Writing has taken a back seat behind repairing bicycles at this point. So rather than try to write a blog post with a specific subject in mind, I’m just going to write a collection of thoughts and ideas that I have had lately. …
