Astronomical prices forcing riders to get creative with bicycle purchases

The spring and summer cycling events will be here soon and many people are contemplating the purchase of a new bike for races, fitness rides or triathlons.
My advice to bike shoppers is prepare for sticker shock.
The prices for high quality bicycles and associated cycling equipment have gotten so high that many people are being priced out of the sport.
It’s to the point that I’m expecting someone to start a ‘Poor Cyclists Matter’ movement.

Once I decided to make my trip to big bend I realized that I had to do something creative to get the most enjoyment out of this trip. The closest place to fly I. Is El Paso But the. You are faced with a two or three day ride to get off the major highway.
I toyed with the idea of taking the train but it didn’t go exactly where I wanted to start. Plus I have heard numerous reports of the train being 4 hours late. And there was some questio of whether I could load the bike at that station. The bus was t any better requiring a transfer and many hours of down time.
