Riding Conditions: Light to moderate rain most of the ride. Light winds.
Miles Today: 61

Sometimes it’s hard to be an optimist. There was an 80% chance of rain today. That meant there was a 20% chance of staying dry. I’ll take those odds.
I got an early start, mainly because of the change to Standard Time. But it wasn’t raining, so time to go. We returned to Kountze, and got the bike ready to go.
I was no more than 5 minutes into the ride when the rain started. Just light rain. Light rain is no problem, but the forecast contained a chance for more severe weather. I pushed the pace.
The rain continued all the way to mile 30, but then the sky brightened a bit. Could that be the end of …
