I filled my jersey and shorts out like a burrito. I was not on par with the elite riders but because a previous version of myself had raced at that level, I was still considered “elite.” On paper at …

NO RIDER LEFT BEHIND – Someone will ride with the slowest rider on each distance. We will also attempt to have riders up front to help with turns. SAG also provided.
This is hilly Parker County, so all distances are challenging, but low traffic, on scenic and interesting country roads. …

Benefits of a Bicycle
by: Omar C. Garcia      gobeyondblog.com
When I was a kid, my bicycle was my passport to adventure. Back in those days bicycles pretty much came in one style — basically in some variation of the iconic Western Flyer style. Single speed. Big tires. Padded seat. A kickstand. And, of course, those colorful streamers on the handlebar grips. This was cool stuff back in the day. I still remember saving money to accessorize my bike. I bought a basket that attached to the front forks so that I could carry my books to school. Nerdy by today’s standards. Probably nerdy in …
