Law enforcement agencies from across the state worked together to bust a bicycle theft ring Tuesday. According to Austin Police, the theft ring rented, failed to return and then sold high-end bicycles across Texas. APD says each of the bikes cost between $3,000 and $4,000.
“They had recently rented a bike in Plano, and the officers found that the bike — within hours — here in Austin on Craigslist,” explained APD Downtown Area Commander Troy Officer.
