A mistake might have been less costly had Robert Hines been in a car.
Monday evening, Hines, 44, was riding his bicycle when he failed to yield to traffic in the 4100 block of Avenue Q. A Chevrolet Silverado struck him, launching him into the path of a second vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at University Medical Center.
