Crime Alert: Texas State University Police warn of rise in bicycle theft

There has been an increase in bicycle thefts on the Texas State University main campus in San Marcos.
The thieves are targeting higher-end bicycles. Some secured bicycles have had their cable-style locks cut in two. Anyone witnessing suspicious activity anywhere on campus should please contact the university police at (512) 245-2805.

Sorry we haven’t posted more in the last couple of days but there just really hasn’t been much to talk about. On Sunday we had a wonderful day of rest and spent time in worship with the folks at Maranatha Baptist in Globe, AZ. Monday we got up and headed out to Bylas, AZ with very little excitement. We stayed last night at the Lutheran Church in Bylas and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset during diner. Today we rode on and stopped in Safford, AZ at the Hot Wheels Cycles Shop. It was the first day we had of rain, but the cool temperatures were very welcome! We put on our rain gear to ride and only got a little wet. FORT WORTH — Biking is a family affair for the five Breedlove children, except for 11-year-old Ellie, whose bike – along with her father’s – was stolen in broad daylight, right off the front porch.
“I thought I might never see it again,” Ellie said, “and I had just gotten a bike that fits my size.”
Fort Worth police did recover the two bikes. Then, the family received a call with some not-so-good news.
