New Premier ‘Cross Series Heats Up Racing’s Coolest Season

Can you feel the days getting shorter and the Summer heat finally abating? Enter cooler Fall temperatures and cyclo-cross in all its colorful glory. Combining fierce competition and family-friendly fun, some call this the best racing season of the year; they would be absolutely correct. Small wonder that cyclo-cross is the only growing racing discipline within USA Cycling. The stars are aligning over what’s sure to be a most exciting 2014/15 season in Texas and surrounding states.
Momentum is building for the US National Elite and Master Championships returning to Texas in January after nearly a 40 year hiatus. The week prior, Texas will host its first ever UCI-sanctioned CX event in the Dallas area. Thankfully, there’s plenty of local and regional racing on the calendar to rev up your engines and fine-tune your skills.

Look for three new bike share stations on the east side of Austin.
Austin B-cycle installed a station at East Sixth and Pedernales streets yesterday. Two more will open today – one at East Sixth and Robert Martinez streets, and one at East Fifth and Broadway streets.
