Made In East Texas: Cobb Cycling in Tyler
www.tylerpaper.com
BACKGROUND: The cycling sport John Cobb got into for fun more than 40 years ago has turned into a business with customers worldwide. After opening a simple bike shop in Shreveport, Louisiana, and tinkering with bikes in his garage more than 30 years ago, his business has evolved into manufacturing a line of bicycle seats and other gear. Cobb also helps fit cyclists to their bikes for…
Leisure Biking at Brushy Creek Trail – 14 miles
www.hillcountryoutdoors.com
The trail runs along Brushy creek and is about 14 miles (start to start). Most of the trail is tree-lined so you can really get a sense of seclusion. Along the trail are at least 5 parks – a skate park, water-sprinkler park, canoe rental, dinosaur sand park, and plenty of playgrounds for the kids. The trails are…

Saturday July 5th [Avery Ranch] and Sunday July 6th [Babes on Bikes] Rides!
Steiner Ranch Cycling Group
Saturday we did the Scenic route and it was a hard ride because of wind. There was only 10 riders probably because of the rain. We had 3 flats on the way downtown. No other incidents reported other than it was a challenging ride. We will be doing the Avery Ranch Loop this upcoming weekend because the 620 towards Lakeway is being worked on. I think you all should stay off that portion of the 620 until construction is completed. So no Damn Loop or Cozy Cove for a few weeks.
Sunday was the “Babes on Bikes†and “Sunday Social†ride lead by Cheryl Campbell. They also had 10 riders on Sunday. This is a great recover ride or if you are Babe and want to get out on…

28th Annual Ride
When we decided to ride the Cow Creek Country tour, we knew we had ridden it twice before. However, we didn’t remember some of the ride. I searched our blog to refresh our memory, but couldn’t find a write up. We discovered we did the ride before we started blogging. So this time I tried to take as many pictures as possible to help our memory in the…
The Last Day Of June Rolling My Wheels In River Legacy Park With A Large Number Of Fellow Semi Plus-Sized Bikers
Durango Texas
I don’t remember when I last rolled my wheels to the east end of the paved trail in Arlington’s River Legacy Park, but it had been awhile.
As you can see, to the right of my handlebars, rescue signage has been added of the same sort which is now on the River Legacy Park mountain bike trails.
Every quarter mile there is a 911 sign, with the paved trail identifier of…
