Sheriff’s deputy hits bicyclist in NW Harris County

A sheriff’s deputy hit a bicyclist Friday morning along a street in northwest Harris County.
The incident happened about 7 a.m. in the 16600 block of Theiss Mail Route Road near Louetta, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the bicyclist was treated at the scene and released.
The deputy was driving a patrol car northbound on the road when the bicyclist, who was riding southbound on the road, turned into of path of the squad car, which hit the bicyclist.
The bicyclist had minor injuries. The deputy was not hurt.
The case is being investigated.
