Beer, cycling provide way to peddle message

A white trailer crammed with craft beers from Texas was locked up next to the stage at Ska Brewery on Thursday night.

Leisure Trends: Bike sales at IBDs highest since May

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Retail merchandise sales grew 1 percent in August to hit $361 million according to Leisure Trends Group’s RetailTrak IBD sales summary.
Unit sales were down 1 percent, but average retail-selling price continued to climb and was up 3 percent. This growth was still not enough to offset the slow start to the season, with this year’s dollars off by 3 percent and units down 5 percent.

Vehicular traffic through downtown Brownsville will again be limited Sunday as the city holds its fall CycloBia event whereby pedestrians, cyclists and skaters are encouraged to take over the city’s center.
