LONGMONT — After Patrick Cade was laid off last fall, he was angry. He sent out resumes and filled out applications, but when he didn’t hear back, he could feel depression starting to take root. He drank. He slept. He was bored.
Then the 51-year-old Longmont man decided to take advantage of the unexpected break and cross off something from his bucket list: riding his bike across the country.
