The Clouds Slid Away… – December 20th Bike Ride
The clouds slid away every so often to let the full moon shine trough while I was out riding tonight. With the sunset at 5:24 PM daylight was long gone even though I started my ride at 6:26 PM. With tomorrow being the first day of winter it will be the day with the least amount of daylight but after that each will be getting longer which is what I am looking forward to.
With the temperature hitting 76 degrees this afternoon you would not guess that Christmas is Saturday. It is supposed to get up to 79 degrees tomorrow. The 10 mph south wind was nice while I was riding. Heavy clothing was not necessary so no leg warmers but I did have a long sleeve jersey and windbreaker jacket on. It looks like people are still putting out their Christmas lights or at least turning them on while I am out riding.
I am enjoying the Motobecane 700HT MTB. I may need to replace the lamp in my self-engineered headlight. It has at least a couple years and the halogen bulb seems to be dimmer than before.
The mileage totals so far:
- December miles 154.00
- YTD miles 5087.32
