Come join the “best cycling party in Texas.” The 2009 American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure! The party starts at packet pickup and doesn’t end ’til Sunday night. Come ride in the only cycling event in Texas dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes as you ride through the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This ride is for the beginner and avid cyclist alike. We offer family friendly routes of 15 miles on Saturday, or 25 on Sunday, and 55 or 80 miles on both days you pick your favorite. All riders will enjoy a safe and well-marked route, superior SAG (support and gear) and medical support, and outstanding volunteer support. The ride starts in San Antonio on Saturday morning at Pearson, off Bulverde Road in San Antonio and overnights in San Marcos at Texas State University and end in South Austin at Akins High School on Sunday. The Saturday night meal is a highlight with heartwarming stories and chilling statistics that will make you proud to be a part of the fund raising. If you have DIABETES come be a hero! If you wish, you will be recognized as an official RED RIDER and receive a free jersey, t-shirt and other surprises. You can even join the RED RIDER TEAM!
